Up to date information on the influences on the construction industry
Finding the time to read through new industry strategies, plans and other legislative pieces can be difficult. This is why we have a team of people working to not only understand, but also to influence the direction of the industry, so we are able to keep you up to date with the changes which affect HVAC specification.
Download the Diversity Guide
To ensure the efficient and cost-effective design of an ambient network solution, diversity factors need to be correctly considered when calculating the energy demands of the development.
TÜV SÜD and Wallace Whittle, in collaboration with GDHV, have compiled a design guide that assists with the correct sizing, system design and effective implementation of the Zeroth Energy System, highlighting the main considerations and calculations that need to be made.
It’s time to rethink HVAC specification
Before the end of 2020, industry will need to adapt HVAC strategies and building design in order to adhere to new compliance regulations.
Government has clear ambition for the housing of the future, with the 2020 update to Part L and Part F aligning the built environment with the future direction of UK sustainability policy.
With four proposed compliance metrics to meet - do you have your new HVAC strategy ready?

Change is coming...
The EU’s Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) requires the UK to build Nearly Zero Energy Buildings from the 31st December 2020.
To comply with this target, government is using the approaching update to Approved Documents L and F of the Building Regulations to enforce the terms of the EPBD, and the outcome of these consultations will be released later this year.
A technical guide to the specification of heat pumps
This white paper aims to provide h a summary of the different considerations that will have an impact on the specification of heat pumps, heat pump-based systems and complementary technologies for large residential and mixed-use developments
How to: Make the most of decarbonisation
As new scientific data emerges on the worsening effects of climate change the Government is reviewing the UK’s contribution to global greenhouse gas emissions.
