Sustainability
Sustainability plays a key role in the future of Dimplex. We aim to be the leaders in electric heating so that we can provide more people with a more affordable and environmentally friendly means to heat their homes without compromising on comfort.
We believe it's our moral responsibility to do what we can for future generations, which is why we aim to reduce our own carbon emissions by 80% by the year 2025. We also understand the importance of being able to inspire conversations, whether it be our partners, installers, or customers, it is crucial to know how we can contribute to the transition to a greener future.
Transformational products
Our products offer cutting edge technologies that promise to provide more efficient ways than traditional sources to produce heating for a home or commercial building. Higher efficiency means less energy demands, ensuring less energy consumption and reliance on power provided by fossil fuels.

Rethinking resources
We are dedicated to taking urgent climate action across the entirety of our business. We aim to be a completely carbon neutral business by 2050. Our major focuses are on transport and management of our buildings. We have already seen early success with our Southampton office building being certified net zero in 2021 through many energy saving and generating initiatives. We are also rethinking our components that make up our products to ensure that our products are not only more efficient but also using future proof parts that will lead to long term compliance with energy use regulations.
Partnering for success
Our route to sustainability is not just about how we do business but who we chose to do business with. We understand that to empower the everyday lives of our customers, collaborating and partnering with key stakeholders on sustainability is crucial to achieving our sustainability goals. It is also important to consider not just about where our partners can take us but also how we can empower our partners in their sustainability journey.
Installer Support
We believe that in order to fulfil our goals in the electrification of heating, we need to ensure that our installers are given the resources and information to bring our products to homes and building projects. We have invested in a product training portal, Totara, on which we can set up personalised accounts to allow our installers to access product videos, manuals and further training materials as well as offer product training to an installer’s choice of location.
Laying the right foundations
We recognise that the decisions we make as a business and as individuals will influence the future of our planet and society. We want to bring our people, customers, and suppliers along on our sustainability journey. We need feedback, suggestions, and innovation to achieve our ambitions.
Industry governance
Shifting cultures and organisational structures in ways that bolster innovation and collaboration will happen over time. In the long run, our strategy will influence and transform everything we do and must be deeply embedded and integrated into each of our divisions, policies and business functions.
Working with a sustainable purpose
The development of our award-winning, smart tariff with British Gas proves an exciting development for the future of decarbonising energy. Using our Dimplex Quantum storage heater and our Dimplex Control Hub, British Gas’s virtual power plant can access energy requirements data of our customer’s home and use this information to inform supply and demand of home energy.
Transparency in our policies
We aim to put people, processes, and resources in a place to achieve goals while being transparent in our progress. In further years, we are committing to publicly report against our long-term sustainability goals and engage further with our stakeholders.
As part of the Glen Dimplex Group, we join in becoming a leader in the transition to a sustainable world.
