SmarterDM by Dimplex
SmarterDM by Dimplex offer smarter energy management for student accommodation,or purpose built student accommodation (PBSA). This presents the asset or facility manager with a central system that is linked to all the rooms in a building or across the estate. The system provides real-time data on individual student rooms and can remotely control installed heating and cooling systems. This enables the asset to be managed in a way that optimises its energy usage and matches the thermal comfort of students in individual rooms or apartments.
There are two types of energy management systems available. One is the Smarter air conditioning energy management and the other is Smarter panel heater energy management.
Inefficiencies in energy use can be reduced by turning off heaters or air conditioning units when rooms are left unoccupied during the day and for prolonged holiday periods. Reports generated by the system can be used to highlight faults with equipment, set up maintenance schedules, and provide insight into the most appropriate areas for improving energy efficiency. This can deliver a PBSA that maximises the uptime of its equipment and optimises energy efficient practices to reduce costs and deliver a better experience for the students within the accommodation.
As up to 70% of running costs for student accommodation can come from the energy used for heating, whatever type of energy management system is chosen the savings generated can be significant.

The Edel hot water heat pump is a low-carbon energy-efficient solution for the reliable provision of hot water in self-contained student accommodation developments. In highly insulated student buildings, where hot water is the
highest energy demand service, Edel helps reduce carbon emissions and can be installed with electric panel heaters for a cost-effective hot water and space heating solution.
PLXE
PLXE is an efficient heating option for student accommodation and room rentals. The intelligent thermostat and multiple heating modes help the panel heater to quickly adapt to the conditions in a room, providing comfortable spaces and overall energy savings. Energy efficient intelligent features, such as Open Window Detection and Adaptive Start, make it a great choice for the student accommodation sector.
PLXENC
The modern and efficient PLXENC tamperproof panel heater is designed for the requirements of student accommodation. PLXENC is tamperproof and doesn’t feature any onboard controls. It offers occupants personalised comfort within predefined limits via a Dimplex Wall Controller (DWC), which is sold separately. DWC is programmable by building managers using the ConfigR app, giving the flexibility to set parameters for each individual panel heater and DWC pairing.

ConfigR
As an installer, the ConfigR app will allow you to seamlessly install, commission and maintain PLXENC panel heaters. Connect your Dimplex heating solution to a Dimplex Wall Controller (DWC) and use the ConfigR app to set parameters for each heater.
